Our MRT - Getting Bad to Worst?

Did you experience the following when taking trains on other countries in Asia such as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong?

1) Doors cannot close properly (sometimes need to pause, open and close door again before moving off)
2) A lot of "scratching sound" (when train moving on trails and making turns)
3) Announcement of "train congestion" ahead
4) Air-con on certain cabin not working properly (hot and stuffy during the ride)
5) Smelling people's bad breadth, and BO (standing too near to each other)
6) Train move off, then stop, move on again then stop and move on again

Honestly, I don't seem to have such experience before when oversea, but I'm sure about others.

What to do now all employ FT and many will go home or change job after 2~5 year. Those old bird and really experience is retired or resign when see too many Ah Neh/FT taking over.
Ft only work 2~5 year when gain some experience they go back so go back to square one no more talent or skill in SMRT.

What will you do when the roads become too congested in the future?

You can of course rely on the PAP to increase the cost of road use: ERP rates, higher coe prices,... but there's no guarantee that it will reduce the actual number of vehicles on the roads.

Yes it should be. But the TS is an accidental wit. Bad , worse, worst. In effect saying we have gone straight to the bottom of the pit (worst) without any stops on the way (worse).

The worst part is they make this announcement _ "attention please, if you can't board the train at platform A, please wait for the next train" ...

SMRT is improving & remain affordable...a committee will be formed to look into the current breakdowns & it will take 55 man years to complete; we are working towards that target, kindly bear with us the inconvenience, while the current CEO will look for more army "kakis" to serve you better.

You might be skinny enough but those in front might be fatter & even if you get through all that where are you going to park?
I often see the car park packed full.

I often use the Bishan circle line & I am sometimes amazed by how crowded it is. When our new guests arrive I expect even larger jams. :(

Yes, and I dunno which smart alec scholar designed the Circle line (and the new Downtown Line) with only 3 cars per train as opposed to the 6 cars per train for the NEL, N-S and E-W lines?

The CEO of SMRT says it will take them FIVE years to fix the current set of problems. And we are paying him $1 million salary to achieve such mediocre results. So, it will take another FIVE years to fix new problems?

I suppose if his one million dollar salary is paid in installments over five years, he would be more eager to fix things quickly. A lot of padding in that time frame. Suspect he isn't sure if he has covered all bases when it comes to infrastructure investments and maintenance regime.

a resounding yes! bedok bay area rapid transit. all of the above plus shit-stinking upholstery on seats and puke-inducing carpeting on the floor. cyclists would bring in bikes and block the doors. while gangbangers would go from car to car playing hip-hop and talking loudly. and panhandlers would walk the whole train begging for money.
