Posted: 21 March 2013 2053 hrs

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 43-year-old woman, her 17-year-old son and 18-year-old daughter for a series of shop thefts committed at a shopping complex located at Woodlands Square.

From January 2013 to March 2013, numerous cases of shop thefts were reported at different retail outlets within the shopping complex.

The suspects' identities were established after investigations, and on Wednesday officers from the Jurong Police Division arrested the trio at their residence in the vicinity of Woodlands Circle.

They were believed to have committed at least 10 cases of shop thefts from various outlets within the shopping complex.

Following a search of their unit, the police seized more than S$2,600 worth of items believed to have been stolen.

These included clothing, cosmetics, toys, stationery and perfume.

Investigations are ongoing.

If convicted, the trio will face a jail term of up to 7 years and a fine.

The Lee Kuan Yew and Gek Gecko families.
Stealing and snatching from all of us .
Stealing and snatching what is not theirs to be theirs.
And they never have to worry about getting convicted of what they have done - YET
