Singapore - Not in Top 10 Best Shopping List by CNN Travel

Person with a brain of a birdie will never understand your great wisdom; my lord.

And worst of all; a person whom goes back on what they said..... thing like "Quitting SBF".

Wow!
Singapore is not in the top 10 list???
Incredible...

As per our standards, it could be wrong.
The surveyor may not be credible, or not be accredited.

Singapore won't even be in the top 100. I was in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and told the taxi driver I wanted ganja. He told me to wait at the hotel lobby and in a couple of minutes, he delivered a bag to me, inclusive of rolling papers. You won't get that kind of service in Singapore.

Cheers!

Easy solution..

Hire a local consultancy and ask them to publish a report on their independent findings. Sure No 1 again!

Solutions works also for airlines ranking, people happiness ranking, salary ranking, cost of home ownership ranking.... I have yet to see the price of car ownership ranking.. probably an impossible task..

Exactly, what I wanted to point out.
Thank you.

Wow!
It means Colombo can even beat us effortlessly.
Wake up sinkies...

CNN Travel must have missed going to Mustafa or not surveyed people who had gone there.

Nope, they listed their criteria:

Then we judged cities in four areas, using a one-to-10 scoring scale for each category:

1. Getting around: Quality of public transportation, affordability and availability of cabs.

2. Value: Bargain opportunities, such as sale seasons and average prices.

3. Variety: Number of available brands, range of shopping categories, quantity of upscale shops, department stores, boutique and vintage retailers and market stalls.

4. Experience: City beauty, quality of window displays and shop décor, friendliness and competence of clerks and service staff, dining and accommodation options.

I agree SG will get low score in the above categories....

Thank you.
You are one among good readers.
Very details...

Sim Lim is a joke. Zero customer service and high probability of getting ripped off (even if you're a local).
One plus though is that if you're looking to build your own computer specs, they sell thousands of gadgets, components and motherboards.

Wow!
Sim Lim Square name is that bad...
May be, a record of con traders accumulated there.

SLS is okay if you avoid the lower levels and know what you're going to buy (usually, computer parts).

Song Brothers has a branch in Funan, so it is not guaranteed that you'll have a better shopping experience in Funan as compared to SLS.

Another shitlisted retail zone is the lower level of Lucky Plaza, with shops selling electronic goods. Seriously, don't be daft and buy stuff from there. I'd rather you go eat at Jollibee's. ;)

Thanks for good advice.
Sim Lim Square... still frequent there.
Lucky Plaza... for good foods at B1, as well as L5 Yong Tou Foo.

Shopping here in this particular tread is not about walking into 711 to pick up a loaf of bread. If you know where I am coming from.

Ha ha ha...
Quite different between shopping for luxury items and groceries.
I trust CNN Travel survey does not count Supermarkets, NTUC, Mama shops... ha ha.

You seen what happened when Gallup polls showed Sunkaporeans the most miserable people on this planet, even compared to people in wartorn countries and basketcase countries.

Smear of shit on my sole of shoe LKY poured millions to create fucking poll to show Sunkaporeans are the happiest people in pathetic attempt that exceed North Korean propaganda machine. Using our money of course, not their fucking money.

I bet you that Smear of shit on my sole of shoe LKY will pour millions to create fucking poll to show Sungkapore to be the top of the top shopping list of the world this time, filled with the happiest of happy people on this planet.

This Gallup poll...
Someone, some members, pappies implied that it is not credible.
How?

Not really surprised that Spore didn't make the mark. Spore is just becoming too expensive. I find it cheaper & more convenient to just order directly from Amazon:)

Spore has become an unpleasant place. For me transportation & the crowds is the biggest turn off :(

I use to go to Mustafa quite regularly until City Square Mall cut back on their shuttle services :D
