Do you give to the beggar? Do you help the homeless and buy them a meal at McD ? Do you donate to charity?
Or do you insult them ? Look down upon them? Spit at them? Isolate them? Ostracise them?
I think Singaporeans will step forward to help the poor, the homeless and the weak members of our society. We are a gracious people.

Rousing
Well, quite rousing.
The key word was "paying it forward". Must be karma thing again. 
Empathy was the other thing. If that two men knows that life could be tough and harsh on you, the likelihood is that they will lend a helping hand.

But Maybe They Do Have A Point Too
Maybe they do have a point too. You cannot be unpresentable like being smelly in a cafe or restaurant. There must be an ethical behaviour or dress code to adhere by. You may make someone to puke before he or she may even finish his or her meal. Perhaps, buy and take away will be better for everyone than to create a nuisance for everyone. The cafe or restaurant is still a social place where everyone has to be considerate enough not to stir unneccessary attentions like fights or quarrels.
