Tan Chuan-Jin now anchor minister for Marine Parade GRC

Acting Minister for Manpower Mr Tan Chuan-Jin is now the anchor minister for Marine Parade GRC.

Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM) Goh Chok Tong announced this on his Facebook page, MParader, today.

He said: "Yesterday morning, had MP GRC meeting of MPs and Branch leaders. Told them that Tan Chuan-jin has taken over from me as anchor Minister of our GRC."

Mr Tan was fielded as a new candidate in the 2011 General Election.

Seah Kian Peng, Fatimah Lateef and Tin Pei Ling are the other MPs of the Marine Parade GRC.

Mr Tan was appointed Acting Minister for Manpower on August 2012, while concurrently holding the title of Senior Minister of State for National Development.

Marine Parade GRC looks like a perfect battleground for the Opposition to win, unless the PAP increase substantially the 'new' citizens in that GRC.

That a newbie is being promoted to the the anchor ministers tells you the incompetence of the more senior members of the GRC as well as the lack of quality people on the bench. So much for their self-renewal. Tan Chuan Jin will now favour employers even more - just so he can get a job with them when he loses his job come 2016.

They should appoint TPL to be the ministar or ministar of state for trade and industry and she can be an anchor ministar in MP.

Hahaha! Two months ago I oredi leaked out that white-hair panjang would step down in 2016 and without him around, his khakis fear that MP may fall and I also alerted opposition parties to take note.
