Is there any LED rules n regulations in malysia? To ensure no explosion n fire.

I bought some China LED light bulbs from China website and the quality is no good, spoilt easily although hardly used. Not like the Mango LED light bulb that I bought from Jusco kiosk last time, still working after more than one year.

Siemens unit axes Chinese factory in cost-cutting drive

PUBLISHED MARCH 07, 2013

BERLIN - German light bulb maker Osram, soon to be spun off by its parent company, engineering giant Siemens, said on Thursday it was selling a factory in China as part of a drive to slash 8,000 jobs worldwide.

Osram is selling the plant in the southern Chinese city of Shaoxing to the Hong Kong-based firm Super Trend Lighting Limited, the German firm said, declining to reveal the financial details of the deal.

"With this sale, we have achieved a further milestone in the restructuring of the business," said Osram chief executive Wolfgang Dehen.
The sale of the plant is part of the drive to save 1.0 billion euros (US$1.3 billion) by 2015.

"With the planned disposal of Shaoxing, Osram has achieved half of its planned cuts of 8,000 jobs by 2014 worldwide in our traditional business activity," the firm said in its statement.

Osram is grappling with a shift in the industry from traditional light bulbs to light-emitting diodes (LED), a technology where Asian rivals have built up capacity and driven down prices.

Last year, parent company Siemens said it would spin off 80.5 percent of the lighting unit with a view to proceeding with the long-planned stock market listing of the subsidiary later. -- AFP

Should be aroud 80K to 100K.

Still find it a bit ex... i am thinking:

1) Wet kitchen cabinet - paid for by developer
2) Dry kitchen cabinet - paid for by developer
3) Microwave, Oven, Fridge, Cooker hob, Cooking stove - 15k
4) Built-in wardrobe (Master) - 10k
5) Built-in wardrobe (BR 2) - 8k
6) Built-in wardrobe (BR 3) - 5k
7) Built-in wardrobe (BR 4) - 5k
8) Whole house lightings (shit, no more chandliers, too ex) - 10k
9) Whole house curtains - 10k
10) A super-strong metal gate for emergency door - 3k
11) Minor electrical rewiring, hacking works, etc - 5k
12) Aircon - paid for by developer

You guys are right... even with kitchen cabinets and aircon paid for, it still comes up to 70k... i have a better sense now

If i add furnishing:
13) 2 x Sofa set - 6k to10k
14) Dining set - 3k to 5k
15) Beds and mattresses (4 sets) - 15k to 20k
16) Misc rackings, shoe cabinets, unforeseen - 5k to 10k

That is another 30k onwards

But since i intend to rent out, i suspect i can source for cheaper stuff... which should not be too cheapo quality... anyone can help me how low i can go?

Funnily... think about it... MYR100k is actually SGD40k plus

For kitchen appliances, can source them during the home fairs at Persada; for the 5 items listed above, RM7-8k should be enough. Build-in wardrobe, if you source locally in Johor Jaya or again at home fairs, an slash the quoted cost above by half.

Why do u need 2 sofa sets? Dining set should be less than RM3k, because a 5ft round marble table with 8 chairs already cost RM4-5k. So a simple rectangular table with 6 chairs should suffice.
