Who wears worn and torn shoes to school when young?

I like to share with your guys that I wear torn and worn shoes with little holes here and there to school because I didn't want to burden my family and because I can still wear them until the shoes literally fall apart, with the soles coming off, then I call it a day. How about you guys. Vote your answer.

Also, I wore torn underwear with its elasticity all gone. I used rubber band and safety pin to hold up my underwear.

torn shoes were common in the past, using chalks to whiten the shoe to prevent over washing was one of the solutions, never mind the smell because you'd wash those shoes in the rain anyway :p:p:p

You got put mirror on your shoe to peep at your teacher? ;)

I still remember my Bata BM2000........

its quite a good shoe and will last if you do not play basketball or soccer. if you do....it will not last more than 1 year....

i have known people wearing it for years, esp the girls in my sec sch

Bata canvas shoes, with shoe whitener applied onto them.

I had no shoes in my first two days. The form teacher Ms Chew bought me a pair.

She encouraged me a lot and I promised her I would do well in life

But now I'm a lowly paid worker bee, I let her down

You have just planted an idea in the minds of the MIW. Next new MIW will say he/she wore worn and torn shoes when young.

I remembered once when I washed my shoes and it later rained and shoes were not dry. Ended I wore slippers to school and the teacher think I try to be funny with school rules. All these early years experiences helped shaped my adverse view of draconian measures and insensitive power-that-be.

You never let anyone down, especially yourself, if you've tried your best.
