ST reporter's services terminated; under police investigation

Published on Feb 01, 2013

Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) has terminated the services of a Straits Times reporter who is being investigated by the police for an alleged offence.

Mr Eisen Teo, 28, was a member of the Schools team.

An SPH spokesman said on Friday: "As the investigation is still ongoing, we are unable to provide further details at this point in time."

The Schools team produces two magazines for schools - Little Red Dot for primary pupils, and IN for secondary students. It also conducts activities for students in its media club.

So, SPH has declared the reporter guilty even before the court has decided. That's sinkapore justice for you.

And sadly, this sinkee has no recourse in the courts as the court will side with SPH.

Notice that when it is their own staff the reportage is quite limited.
