Back then you apply for this passport at ica in outram. Now is DDB building.
Many form fillers set up stalls there....they charge 50 cents per customer.

It was a subordinate court before it became the passport office for making passport to MALAYSIA. I still do not understand till today, why back then, we need the blue passport for Malaysia travel only & the red one for Malaysia & International. There were frequent incidents where travelers going out of SINgapore, brought the blue passport instead of the red one at Changi.

I think the Malaysians have the same thing, one passport for traveling here & one for International. Anybody know why that way?

Simple, you pay for two passports, you pay more. Those were the days before the great import of Ftrash. Now the focus of ICA is earning big money approving applications and endorsing approvals for work permits, EPs, dependants' passes, training passes, etc. See some other thread where the charges are listed - you will be shocked with the amounts charged.

Just to ensure they still get the same $$$ in providing only one, notice that after the blue passport no more, now they increase the red one to $70 per renewal.

Bloody suckers!!!
