No myth, just that each party is serving their own interest wanting to get into the Parliament by hook or by crook.

It is most unfortunate RP and SDA will not just lose their deposits but also dilute WP votes... even a 4.99% of votes is actually important to WP.

However, if these 4 corner fight is able to knock PAP out, that would be very telling for the coming GE.

like this how to stay united? each party wants to send its members into parliament. each man wants a slice of the enormous MP's allowance!!! $16K per month is hell of a lot of money!!! It's one year's salary for many Singaporeans!!!

I think we should trim trim trim the number of MPs in our parliament. There is no need to have so many MPs in a small country like Singapore. We should trim and prune at all levels and in all ministries. Reduce the expenditure and pass the savings to the people of Singapore. In this way, the incumbents will be voted in at every election.
