It is truly sad to say that most people, even supposedly highly educated ones, who once upon a time hailed from humble backgrounds, choose to conveniently forget those days when they were down and out and struggling in life, once they are catapulted to a life completely different from those sad old days, a life amidst wealth, glamour and fame. These is the path of extreme deviation. I am not a man of religion but I am sure that all the major religions advice it's adherents to steer clear of such paths for this is where the rue danger lurks.
Fame and shame tend at times to come very fast.
My advise to the Dr Koh is not to forget the days when there was a struggling "little innocent Koh, who played in pig-sties and picked rubber seeds and whose father had to take on the added role of a bus driver to supplement the family's meagre income".
Humility is the best protector. Cockiness leads to decadence of character.
My best wishes to him and the people of PE.
