the real wisdom behind ejay's wisdom is someone else who's cleverly motivating ejay.

ejay could be jeopardising his own situation in this phd program. if he's really wise, he would have prioritise the importance of his activity. he could be active after he gets his phd. but once he loses that and if it is due to his foolish resentment about his meted punishment, then it would really be PERMANENT HEAD DAMAGE for him
