In addition to civil servants, stat board & GLC employees and families , have to add members of various uniform groups and the many contractors & suppliers to government departments and GLCs. My estimate is around 35% of the voters belong to this category. Add another 15% who are diehard party supporters (the share that TT got in PE) and we know why PAP is assured of at least 50% of the votes...

I agree with you, but their fall, like all cycle throughout history will come one day. I do hope that this will not happen in my lifetime, for there will much suffering & pain, unless; we have today , slowly but surely, ease that transition.

Those who vote PAP aren't necessarily greedy. I have friends who work in STATS. They are all hardworking and dedicated individuals. Their background is semiconductors and STATs is the only big semicon employer left that can pay them the sort of salaries that they have grown accustomed to over the last 3 decades.
