Need some advice here. Got a bad tooth and the dentist suggested having a tooth implant ($4k - $5k) or bridge ($1.3k - $1.5k). He recommended tooth implant.

I'm more incline towards tooth implant but don't think this young dentist can do a good job and the price is rather steep for a neighbourhood clinic.

Anyone done this before? What's the market rate and can recommend a good dentist?

Thanks!

Never do implant at neighborhood type of dentist. At the very least go to a reputable dental chain. Neighborhood ones tend to take more sessions and their equipment and machines are not as advanced. One neighborhood dentist quoted 5 visits to do a crown. The chain dental group equivalent quoted 2 visits.

Better still, go to the National Dental Centre. Not necessarily cheaper, but they have a few specialists who handle this kind of dental issues day in and day out.
Safer.

Bro, try this: Nanyang Dental Clinic; situated off Kim Tian Road.A 2nd Gen dentist who have taken over from his dad.
His charges are reasonable; and is very approachable towards all your dental concerns..

You can go Mount E (Elizabeth). High end but he will do a good job for crowning. Equipment high tech and new. Pinays as nurses as usual. Father said good.
