receive a call from my msian kaki last friday that the wife of a well known big time bookmaker in msia whom i knew
was kidnapped on wednesday and the kidnappers are asking RM10mil for her release,
i was told to keep quiet about it for her safety,yesterday at the races another friend told me about it too and
the town where this bookmaker is staying and the abduction took place is the talk of the kopitiam now.
this bugger is superrich and is ready to pay the RM10mil..the trouble is the kidnappers are getting panick
heard the police trace the handphone number to a place in kualar kangsar raid the place and found nothing!
its been a week and hopes are fading for the wife...

last year the son of a underworld figure in klang was kidnapped,the son was safely released in a plantation off kota tinggi johor
after a ransom of RM3mil was paid.

Close to CNY the previous year, wife and daughter of a bookie was kidnapped and released after ransom paid. Now, another case involving another bookie? Or the same one again?
Imo, such acts cannot be performed without some assistance or closing of an eye from the mata mata. Very common for mata up north to get involved. Super lucrative business. Best of all, with the right amount of $$$, can buy your freedom if arrested.
