Guus Hiddink is probably a better international team manager than both of them combined.

But I must say that Da Kaiser is probably the greatest libero centre half to have played the game both at club and international level. His performance with a broken arm in the quarter-finals of the 1970WC against England was amazing.

Beckenbauer and Zagallo led their country to WC honors because they were blessed with talents and most of all leaders. The German FA can offer the Kaiser millions to coach the current team but I can bet you he will never take it up.Same with Zagallo.

Oh I think you are being a unfair once again bro. So are you saying the generation of Law, Giles, Bremner, Charlton, Hunter, Clarke, Lee, Bell, Marsh, Moore, Ball, Hunt etc was just plain Wimbledon and Bolton? Oh and did you catch Best's performances in the European Cup games?

Bob Paisley no doubt deserves to be up there amongst the all time best managers of English Club football together with the likes of Don Revie, Matt Busby, Brian Clough, Herbert Chapman, Stan Cullis and of course Shanks. In fact it was a shame that he was never knighted for his contributions to the game. But Fergie still stands out among the very best with that big treble in 1999 and 10 league titles (hate to say it and counting perhaps), something which even Bob was unable to achieve during his illustrious tenure at Anfield.

The players you mentioned were exceptional, not spectacular.
Yes, I caught Best's performances. he probably fuelled himself with his favourite whisky. No disrespect to him or his fans, but he only achieved greatness at club level & he has never emulated this feat in the world arena. Same goes for unsung folklore club footballers like Dalglish, Rush & even Giggs. They were good in their own rights, lets not take that away from them.
Hey, why are we arguing about nothing here? Liverpool is 3 points ahead into the new year & there's more reasons for us long suffering fans to celebrate.
On a serious note & for tradition sake, I've put a punt on Liverpool to clinch the titleevery year. This season the payout was 1 : 15 Hope I can rub my hands in glee come May 09......

Bro, u mean the 1970 WC semis against the Italians? Thats when Beckenbauer played with a fractured arm.

Hiddink? Ok lah. He hasnt won any honors with the Dutch though except for the 4th placing in the 98 WC. His best achievement was another 4th placing in the 2002 WC with South Korea. Then again, the whole world knew S Korea bought the referees on certain matches.

Guess we shall have to agree to disagree on this one.

And yes let us return to the present. Hope the Reds continue with another convincing performance and victory at the Britannia in early Jan and Chelsea vs Man U end in a draw, so that Reds can further extend its lead at the top of EPL.

Hey come to think of it I think you are right but I still recall Der Kaiser turning the game around for the Germans against the English when the English were 2-0 up and Ramsey took off Charlton.

As for Hiddink, he is able to achieve wonders with the little talent that he has got, even at club level. Der Kaiser and Zagallo are forunate to born German and Brazilian.

Absolutely!!! I dont even want to soil myself venturing into their thread. Only jealous pricks will pick fights with the true champions. MU is languishing in 3rd spot. All the more theyre concerned & desperate & willing to ravage their own arse just to deride our little train of joy.

Don't let childish taunts get in the way of friendly and 'useful' exhanges between rival supporting clubs. After all, isn't this a public forum? Let's just live and let live and agree to disagree.

Red supporters are more than welcome at the Devil's bar and feel free to heap as much manure as you please. Where WP is concerned, he's entitled to his opinion. Don't get hot round the collar becos of some 'unpleasant' nicks. Wat could be worse than Manure??

I do not go into any threads to flamebait Bro, I may at times provide robust views but no intention to flamebait, so I see no reason why I cannot post my povs in any threads, including the Man U one.

I welcome Wyane Piew and anyone else for that matter to post in this thread and any other threads for that matter. All of us stand or fall by the strength and merit of our posts based on objective fair reasonable standards. Forumers draw their own conclusions and that is the best way forward in a public forum, to me anyways:smile:

Cheers

Only losers would want to post in their opponents' thread. I dont want to soil myself posting in a MANURE thread. Disgusting it is. How many times did Manure won the European Cup?

ManUre won it a whole 2 times. They want a badge with a European Cup and a number 2 with it and can't understand why Liverpool can have one with a number 5 while they can't have one with a numer 2.

let hope he can get out of this mess without causing any damage to his careers just like Joey Barton,Rio Ferdinand,Wayne Rooney,Frank Lampard and the many players who get into trouble or who have some problem.

i think he will probably be asked to paid some damage and cost to the DJ and also order to do some community works.

hope we do not get distracted by this news and can fully concentrate on the league. he was backed to training,so it is a good sign and way to forget about everythings.

Please not like Joey Barton Bro, Joey went to prison:eek:

And yes hope this does not affect Liverpool's chances in the second half of the season. Thus far Rafa, the club and the PFA appear to be providing good support to Gerrard.
