Why:

1. did pretty and intelligent gals like Nicole Seah, Michelle Lee, Sylvia Lim, Chee Siok Chin, Glenda Han, Lee Lilian, etc join Opposition Parties to contest against the PAP? Guaranteed bruised hands, tired legs, heartaches, etc

2. did pretty and intelligent gals Laura Ong, Amy Khor, Grace Fu, etc join PAP and PA? Almost guaranteed success, money, glory, etc

3. did intelligent men like Chia Thye Poh, Lim Hock Siew, JBJ, FS, TLH, VW, CSJ, AYG, TJS, PT, etc join Opposition Parties?

4. did WKS, MBT, RL, YAM, TSL, Michael palmer, TSL etc join PAP/PA?

I see the gals and men who join Opposition Parties are fighting for a just cause seeing the misery and cries of the average Singaporeans.

I see the gals and men who join the PAP see it as an easy way to gain rewards and glory fort hemselves

I am a shareholder in SG companies like SIA, Keppel Corp, Sem Marine, SBS, SMRT, etc. These give me good dividends to the extend that I can take life easy. Temasek Holdings is a major shareholder of these blue chip companies and is able to influence pap policies to benefit their companies. TH gets billions of dollars a year from these comapnies at the expense of Singaporeans. Do singaporeans benefit from the billions of dividends received by TH? No..these dividends are speculated in high risk and questionable companies like ABC, OLAM, APL, Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, etc..Some of these companies have gone bankrupt. TH and MOF instead of using good dividends to help lower health care costs, education, etc prefer to gamble with the money and continues to squeeze money from poor Singaporeans. It's easy for TH to gamble with Singaporeans money..no cost to them to take high risk , it is not their money. if they win, they get huge bonuses. if they lose the gamble, Singaporeans foot the losses. NS, SL, GH, ML , LLL, CSJ, VW, TJS, AYG see through the evils of the PAP and TH and join Opposition to fight the devil. It is a tough life for these Opposition heroes and heroines. They may not taste success but eventually they will get satisfaction. Their cause is noble and a just cause and I applaud them for stepping forward.. History will remember for the good they championed.

Laura, YAM , Amy Khor, Grace Fu, WKS, RL, MBT, MP, etc prefer to sleep with the PAP, PA and join them to squeeze singaporeans and get rewarded handsomely. But earning millions of dollars, leading a cosy life and living in good class bungalows will fade away. do know that we will be remembered for what we did.

So I thank Nicole, Sylvia, Siok Chin, Glenda, LiLian, Michelle, Vincent, Soon Juan, Jee Say, Yong Guan, Paul Thamb, etc for responding to singaporeans cries and choose to fight the devil at great costs to themselves. SG will thank and remember you.

it is not hypocritical...i buy their shares so that I can get their annual reports and attend the AGMs to ask questions eg SIA's gambling away $1.3B at Virgin Atlantic, SMRT's poor HR practices, Causes of Sem marine rig accident, etc...it enables me to gain inside knowledge.

BTW, I didnt say that GLCs squeeze singaporeans. I said TH and MOF are not using the dividends given by the GLCs for the benefit of Singaporeans. they are using the dividends as capital for them to gamble in high risk companies...such high risk will incur high gains or high losses...high gains, TH management crows abt their performance and demands super bonuses. high losses, TH mgmt claims the investment is for the long term and losses are paid by singaporeans. The vicious circle continues...

I wouldn't know. Since I have no idea who you are. So have you? And buying shares does support the company. Shares is a judgement on the future of the value of a company. Shares plummet means investors sees a low futures of it. By buying shares of the company you are in effect saying the company is doing fine and will continue to prosper.

Basically,most Singaporeans are very self-centred and ungrateful in this island of greed,it is not worth the time and resources to fight for their interests.But human nature is such that when we see few bullies oppressing,persecuting,plundering and extorting money from the majority ordinary people, a few good human beings with conscience and justice will stand up against the bullies although aware of the risks of defamation,bankruptcy and jail.It's about struggling to help every Singaporean get a decent standard of living and quality of life,nothing about monetary benefits.

I wouldn't know. Since I have no idea who you are. So have you? And buying shares does support the company. Shares is a judgement on the future of the value of a company. Shares plummet means investors sees a low futures of it. By buying shares of the company you are in effect saying the company is doing fine and will continue to prosper.

with cronyism and the way business is done in SG with TH and PAP support, how can TLCs and GLCs not do well...take the example of SMRT...badly managed company by HC's cronies SPH..who was paid millions. They caused untold damage , disruption and morale problems...SPH and HC shd have been sacked for mismanagement but no action was taken..Even with such poor mamagement and uproar, the pap pumped in $1.1B of tax payers money to buy buses and continue with high divident payment and the pap even said that bus fares must be increased.

so GLCs may not be well run...but the pap will use tax payers money to give good dividends so that TH and HC will look good and have money to gamble in risky foreign ventures...watch for OLAM..etc..investment in Virgin Atlantic suffered a loss of $1.3B
