MSM will play up the "inaptitude" of WP in running the Town Council to frighten the masses into voting against PAP. In any case, WP have not really done anything in Parliament or spoken up against PAP policies to really warrant another seat. SDP (not Dr CSJ himself ) may be a better option but again the masses will be concerned if they can run the Town Council as well.

The fall of Ponggol SMC will be more symbolic in nature and hopefully give Opposition parties a boost for GE 2016.

Hi Narong, if there is a straight fight in Punggol between PAP and WP, will the 'quietness' of WP work against them? I mean in Hougang and ALjunied the constituents know how well their MPs work,,but for punggol the voters might take the 'quietness' of WP as a weakness.
