they do read, and they only pick a few constructive criticisms out of the giant pileshit of noise and nonsense. for example, pointers and experiences from those who have lived abroad for decades and have faced and lived thru' situations and policies that were implemented decades ahead of sg are taken seriously. many of the problems of a seemingly "good" or popular policy usually manifest themselves and their true evilness several years, if not decades, down the road. unintended consequences. generous welfare and minimum wage being two prime examples.
