The decision makers, whoever they are, are all aware that sometimes the option of 'do nothing' first is the best available option. Why? Because once an arrest is made, their hands may be tied. I am also suspecting that no one in position dared to issue the order that all those involved be arrested. It was a waiting game alright. Can you imagine what will take place when there is a more serious crisis where immediate decisions need to be made in order to save lives? But with some risks involved.

The only way to do it is to force all existing workers to pull extra shifts until new drivers can be recruited and trained. We are not talking about days, we are talking about MONTHS, that's not even accounting for the usual loss of drivers due to other reasons. And even if this is done, the service level is still gonna to go down. Please use your brains before U post something. Like GoldenDragon said, sometimes the best option is to do nothing

I can offhand give U solution also, clone the local drivers. For that matter lets solve the low birthrate by cloning as well. Please lah. Talk cock I also know.

The whole idea of discouraging strikes from happening is to ensure service is not disrupted. Instead U are now proposing to disrupt service by getting rid of all them. And don't tell me your cock idea is to get small operator bus services to stand in. That stupid idea is not going to work. It will cover the SMRT bus driver shortage only to create a shortage in the usual operations these pple cater to.

We do not need to argue over the intepretation of the Law, it is clear enough, if this was SINgaporeans who go on "strike" or whatever term they want to use, I am willing to bet, they will be arrested on the spot, shoved into "ang chias" & bussed to "SEPOY LINES".

They entire lot will be charged & the "chicken head" will be chopped, and "cooked separately" and be thrown the book & every ACT in the law books will be invoked! ...but these are are our communist comrades...it is different, it is our fault for ill treating them, our fault for paying so little in bus fares..that they got pittance in their salaries & living conditions, perhaps the next batch of Ah Tiongs they employ, should be housed at St. Regis...
