I'm not looking for cheap labour or free labour or expensive labour. I don't need a mod. I can manage on my own at the moment.
I think you do need one seeing you might not be around after X'mas. Nowadays there are so many political threads in this Folder and no one doing anything about moving them to where they belong. Some members insist on posting all their political threads here when they should know better.
There is nothing wrong with political threads in this folder. Talking politics is coffee shops is as old as the hills. Einstein expounded his theories in coffee shops too. Many of mankind's great leaps forward started off being sketched on a table napkin or a 555 notebook.
The only time I modify this rule is during the elections when I ask that election talk be placed in the politics section. This is because there are so many threads started about elections that other subjects would be drowned out if I didn't do anything.
You can't operate under inflexible rules when running a forum. You have to go with the flow and tweak things during specific periods of high activity.
The grey areas but with national interests should be ok but there are a few that belongs to the political folder. Why have folders then as everything can be considered as trivia?
The other folders are there for people who want to avoid the hustle and bustle and nonsense that this folder generates. The responses may come more slowly but the thread stays alive for much longer. The discussions have more depth and can carry on for a long time as they don't end up buried on page 2.
The inane responses are tolerated in this folder but the same rubbish would be removed if the thread was started in one of the more specialised folders.
Sam, I volunteer my services as the mod for the Rubbish Heap. If I detect any sensibility or intelligence in that dump I will revive the thread here.
Don't say I never do my part ok?
Rubbish heap folder is underrated.Should direct more traffic there to make it more livelier
