Has anyone experienced the terrible confusion at:

1. Woodsville, Macpherson, Upper Serangoon, Bendemeer Junction?
2. PIE from Jurong to Changi, KPE (TPE), KPE (ECP), Sims Ave, Kallang junction?

These two areas are terribly confusing. I marvel at how the Cabinet compsrising the PM, DPMs, Minister of transport and other Ministers failed to recognise the maze at these junctions and how these caused confusion to SG motorists.

These two areas show the quality of PAP leaders, their poor understanding and poor comprehension powers.

No wonder SG is in this shit

Some like to call this area created by

LTA creative engineers .

Expect morw Traffic Summons :)

hmm... not exactly confusing but more like frustrating.
the folks on the 1st and 2nd lanes wants to filter left into KPE(TPE/ECP) and the folks from CTE>PIE(Changi) wants to filter right into lanes 3, 2 and 1 from the left.
bottle necks the entire area during peak hours :mad::mad:

cannot swim said cannot swim, dont blame the swimming gear too big or too small.

I tend to agree that there is some confusion and it does contribute to traffic slowing down , and the risk of accidents increase.

they want you to take the train instead of drive

i dont think so..I think it was poor planning byt he staff and poor oversight by the approving authority to have endorsed the silly and confusing network at the junctions

good points...put yourself in a motorist who travels there for the 1st time...what wld you think of the roads?

do you think the two areas are confusing to a motorist who is new to the area?

Yes that is the most likely explanation. It is as though different departments and people did their own stuff and never coordinated as much as they should have, resulting in this mess.

simple solution to their problem area .

place Huge LED signage 500 meters before

vechile approach this junction

that's a good word to describe it.."mess"..this mess is typical of the lack of coordination in the pap...MOM wants more manpower without consulting, MOT, MOH, MND, etc...

doesnt speak well of the pap leaders

good signboards mitigate the confusion..in the 1st place, the planners shd not have designed the junctions the way it is

yes..and the confusion leads to potential accidents

Yes of course because it takes away from the driver's concentration when he is confused about where he is at, and where he has to go next. And all the time his car is moving and he is probably being honked at. These are all elements that contribute to traffic accidents. So this places are traffic hotspots and something has to be done soon.

yes..

accident prone areas

slows down tarffic flow. have you seen how congestion builds up near Kallang from 8am to 9.30am?

frustrates motorists

i had no problem over there.

there are plenty of signboards giving motorist advance notice. if the motorists to busy chatting or day dreaming, then it their own faults.
