When the Berlin Wall fell and the Soviet Union collapsed, it was victory of Capitalism over Socialism, and there was nothing else the world had to offer - so Capitalism was the choice of the world. On its current path, many folk don't see a better future. Actually, there are enough resources in this planet to take care of everyone's needs. But with the current model of capitalistic growth, it may not be enough. That is my main fear. Something has to give. But not everyone is that giving. During the eighties, the UN said that world poverty was its number one priority; its over two decades since - and the way the world's powerful have reacted one way to that goal - fuck it.
