An employee of a firm renting out luxury cars such as Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini, committed criminal breach of trust, forgery and cheating to get his hands on extra cash.
Mohammad Rizal Mohd Jasni, 37, pleaded guilty and was jailed six weeks and fined $2,000 on Wednesday.
A district court heard that in 2010 he was a business development manager with Luxe Car Rental located in Lower Delta Road.
Between February and April 2010, Mohammad Rizal misappropriated $6,164 from membership fees and rental payments from clients.
He would also forge the signatures of people who merely wanted to rent cars onto applications for a Super Card Privilege Card from his firm.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Lynn Tan told the court that this was to meet his monthly target of recruiting at least two new members a month.
