Ah Bengs' Siam Simi Chia?

I am always on the road late at night, into the early hours of the morining. While driving, or having supper, I noticed there are some cars Ah Bengs stay away from. Hardly see them driving Alfa Romeo, Volvo, Mini and Land Rover. Any reason why?

I would say Ah Bengs tend to choose certain cars, rather than saying avoid some cars.
Young Ah Bengs start with Subaru WRX, Suzuki Swift, Mazda3/MX-5, Honda Civic/Accord/S2000, Honda Integra, Kia Koup (that is not to say only Ah Bengs choose these cars). Older Ah Bengs go for Toyota Camry, Lexus GS3xx, Bemeers, E-Class Benz.

Ah bengs cannot pronounce names like Alfa Romeo, Volkswagen etc.....names like volvo, mini do not sound power enough for bengs.
Jap brands all comes with chinese sounding names so they feels more at ease recognizing names like本田, 三菱 etc.
other reasons are influenced by movies like initial D, fast and furious etc where mostly jap cars are featured.
Jap cars can easily mod and mod loud...nothing bengs enjoy more then to bring out their creativity...

Alfa front number plate is slightly to the right same as Evo.Alfa is unpopular due to high price comparable to lexs,bmw3 series.may as well get bmw.
higher cost than honda.may as well get Accord or civic2.0 high servicing cost due to lack of spare parts.Need to be imported.workshop don keep for this brand.modern rich young bengs drive Bmw/lexus.old rich bengs go for Merces.Lawyers/docs go for volvo.Volvo is know to be safest car.

Lancia was never a beng's car....rather an angmo pai ah sia car....the delta turbo was a cult car along with the gordinis and clios of that time (circa 1980s).

Not really. If they can afford BMWs, Mercs and Audis, surely can afford Volvo and Land Rover. I suspect it is the image. Volvos driven by lau nang.

Yes, Land Rover and Range Rover looks stylish. But, imo, why pay for their whatever technology when it is hardly applicable on our roads?
