UK or American English?

Since when sinkie use english? Broken englisg more like it. Tats why service staff all replaced by pinoys.

Indeed. Dumb sinkies always make me repeat myself. I refuse to descend to their level and adopt their grammatically incorrect creole.

while america welcomes british culture, britain welcomes american culture. role reversal.
Cousins across the Atlantic, what. You could almost say lingo is bastardised mutually, either with z or s (as in here):p

two historical enemies (remember the american revolution?) separated by the same language. :p

Do you use UK or American English?

Singapore was under British colonial rule and adopted the UK English. However the dominant economic power is USA, and American English is also widely used.

Which do you use? And which should be used?

The word "COLOUR" cannot be used on programming languages because most prog lang must use the American format "COLOR". The same here in this forum.

Most people get use to America English.
Major reason is Holywood movie more than UK. So heard more use more.

Regardless of American English or British English,
perhaps, your post should read:
[ Most people get used to American English because the main reason is that there are more movies from Hollywood, USA, rather than from the UK. ]

hi there

1. bro, sheep's england aka pasar english hoh!
2. aiyoh! those pinoys also half-pail-water leh.

I am sure English spoken today in England is different from English used in England during the time of Shakespeare - it is evolving. So with the influence of Hollywood and other Yankee pop culture, England's English is sure to absorb some Yankee tones as we move along.

Cheers!

It is said that American tongue is closer to archaic English, the way for example that "a" is pronounced. English has evolved to a different tongue over the years. Even over a short 40 to 50 years, the BBC sound had also changed.
