The local guide will bring you to a recomended hotel, accompany you jalan jalan to makan and good places to chiong.. He'll drive you in his van.. Some guide will ride a motorcycle, similiar to KNNBCCB's Cup Kia.. But for safety reasons, I suggest you hire the guide with the vans as the traffic there follow the rules of the cowboy and with their roads full of potholes..

Ask the guide how much you must pay for his service.. Most of them charge at least $20 - $30 a day which is quite cheap.. Most of these guides can be found outside the Tanjong Pinang Ferry terminal where they will await the arrival of Sporean visitors and coming to them offering their services..
