Thank You NNI, TTSH

i totally agreed with you tracy. we should count our blessings and our good fortune to have a world class medical service in singapore. yes, you described your loved one's condition very well. thank you for sharing.

we should learn to appreciate the good things here in singapore. not always bashing but sometimes we do have to give some due credit where it is deserved.

yes, thank yu NNI and TTSH

yes...i appreciate NNI and TTSH who performed well

u have insulted PAP many times before. however, i am willing to accept your apology on behalf of PAP. We must be gracious!

i am neither anti-pap nor pro-pap. I dislike pap for the many mistakes it did.

i dislike LHL because he is an effective and weak leader.

nothing personal

It should have been FREE!!! My wife after her caesarian had the same treatment as well. Nurse came to visit home and baby the next day, and the following 2-3 days. All without paying a single cent.

if it is free ,who is the unlucky taxpaper who would foot the bills

A&E ($90) is at B1, CT Scan part of NNI B1, stroke with bleelding done immediately, later another is done ( CT Scan not cheap) ward is on the 10th floor, Heart Scan ( echo test is $450), is on 3rd Floor Heart Atrium, Stroke with bleeding cannot be discharged on 4th day, minimum stay 32 days, eye clinic is on Atrium level ( need I state consultant fees?)...NNI & TTSH are part of different health care clusters...you stay in a Class "C" ward..you think, they would be so friendly, not that they will not be attentive..

Won't dispute that TTSH or NNI or the Neurologist ( $200), the endocrinologist, the ophthalmologist, the podiatrist, the nutritionist, therapist ( therapist & occuptaional therapist, plus psychologist, psychiatrist & counselors ( use all , different fees each, for example therapist $80 each) & the rehab specialist ( $140) on the 5th floor..the one stop money making..yes, the healthcare system is excellent.. they will call you after your discharge...but if you pay $8 extremely subsidized rate or you are the extremely connected like cow...you think you would receive a call from the hospital?

Please don't bullshit on a stroke with bleeding, discharged after 4 days..please BLUFF PROPERLY!!

An MRI was done within two hours. Stroke was confirmed and bleeding detected.

He was well taken care of during his stay.

Heart Echo was done on the 2nd day

CT Scan was done on the third day.

Eye check was done before discharge on 4th day.

For three days after discharge, the Ward nurses called up to enquire abt his well being.

I am thoroughly impressed by the excellent medical care and prompt service given by TTSH and NNI. I am proud of TTSH and NNI.

A big thank you, NNI and TTSH

Your supposedly 'loved one' saw a private GP, got a private referral, paid at a non-subsidised private rate which is equvalient to private hospital in the so called 'public restructured' hospital.

Which is why he/she got the supposedly treatment.

Tell that to most Sinkie who goes to see docs at Poly clinics and wait long long to see any specialist becos they NEED SUBSIDISED medical fees.

Excellent my foot.

Your love one could even have gotten a red carpet rolled out to him if he had gone to private hospital, paying at the same rate and can even GET MUCH BETTER DOCTORS to treat him!

So don't come here to try praising your Master PAP lousy health scheme.

Try harder next time.

I am not praising the healthcare scheme. In fact I am against SG's healthcare scheme which lacks compassion

I am praising NNI and TTSH for their excellence and professionalism. No credit to the pap

CT scan was done on the third day to check whether there was still bleeding. No bleeding, cardiprin was given.

ASPRIN! that is all? no Simvastatin, Losartan, Amlodipine, Rehab Therapist $85.60, Occupational Therapist $85.60 ( with GST), then you will have the endocrinologist, the ophthalmologist..

Anyway..all affordable & subsidized..yes we do have a world class medical health system...there is no doubt about..no money..you DIE!

The person you are referring to must be one of the luckiest stroke patient..yes, there are people like that, 1 out of 100,000 . So lucky!

I am sure many of us are familiar with the healthcare system & the hospitals. I believe we have enquired about our healthcare system in which we are very familar with & would not dispute that it is efficient. It is so efficient in making money out of our fears, there is no doubt that we have one of the best health care system in the world but at a price, of course, you pay for what you get. So don't get sick!

One can begin by asking when you need to be using the hospital or the clinic (s) :

1. what is the difference in Clinics, Wards, Tests between Subsidized (meaning C) as to B and above.
2. What is the difference in Pharmacies between ( same as above)
3. What is the difference in drugs obtained in (2)
4. What is the difference in doctors, staff & others as in (1)
5. what is the difference between Healthcare groups, for example, TTSH & NNI at the same hospital or across the island, in different hospitals

You will be educated...or surprised! I give you a hink, the $8 for cardiac procedure is a BULLSHIT!

the healthcare system maybe lousy.

But I am just sharing our experiences at NNI and TTSH.

And I am indeed thankful to them
