Termites blamed after 20m tree topples on parked cars

Three cars have been damaged after a 20m tree fell on them - with the owners reportedly blaming termites.

The trunk came crashing down at about 2pm on Wednesday at a Housing Board block near the old Tanjong Pagar railway station.

Police confirmed that no one was hurt.

The owners of the cars, which were parked at Block 102 on Spottiswoode Park Road, suspect termites caused the tree to fall, Shin Min Daily News reported.

and can't detect tree trunk being eaten to the roots?? Next time when another tree collapsed

... definitely cannot claim from insurance. Reason is because it is an act of god. The tree fell on car. Tree unstable due to termites. Termites created by God. So cannot claim.:o

who can we complain to when we are pushed around? For eg. Gas meter(answr sve),to
City Gas to Sp to SCDF. I hv been pushed 4x. The last one asked me to talk to scdf(capt. xxxx)
They hv no answer. to a simple reasonable request I made.
Since they are changing meter, I request a little extension n I will pay fo it. "NO, our
contr only change meter". Call City Gas. Website say $60 to $120. CGas say website obsolete.

Is there such a thing like comprehensive insurance in Spore
It costs more but it gives a more comprehensive protection.

When I owned a car in Canada I had this kind of insurance and when the car was damaged by hail I was able to claim to get the damage fixed.
