SINGAPORE: The driver of a Mercedes lost control of his car while reversing at the car park of Block 102 at Yishun Avenue 5.

The Mercedes crashed into a Toyota Camry in the car park, mounted the pavement, and continued onto a common area between some shophouses and a food centre.

CCTV footage from outside one of the shops, showed the Mercedes in reverse, with the driver's door open, hitting several goods stocked outside the shops.

It also hit a newspaper shop owner, a passer-by, and a woman believed to be a childcare centre teacher.

Eyewitnesses say the teacher was flung a short distance.

Two elderly members of the public also injured themselves, when they fell as a result of the incident.

The five victims were sent to the nearby Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.

I saw one Porsche outside Ai Tong School today. Car plate SS 2222 (behind alphabet I forgot)

Unique numericals, I have seen a lot. But car plate starting with SS I never see before. Or is this the new series of car plates after those Sxx series?

You must be young chap...
S series was the first car plates of sinkieland...S1 is the PM official car plate still.
Some of the old S series got no alphabet after the numbers.

Some people see these old plates still think its some VIP special plates...though some infact are ie SJ for high court judges.
S ----CD plates for diplomats.

i beg to differ. "SBP" was released between 1990 and 1991. This W124 model was produced from 1984 to 1996. So most probably SBP is original and quite possibly 6616 was a bidded number.

I see is W126.....so called S series then. This looks like the 280/300 SEL... Production from 1979 to 1991.
Possible it's still original plate though SBP series around 1991.
Even bidded also cheapskate bid of 1k back then can get such number.
