A family's trip to Shanghai turned into an ordeal after they became infected with genital warts following a stay in a luxury hotel, reported Nanyang Siang Pau.

The man identified as Lee had brought his wife, their three-year-old son, sister and parents for a family trip in early June.

He had checked them into an expensive suite with a clean bathtub.

But three weeks after the trip, Lee's son started feeling itchy in the groin area and was covered in warts.

The rest of the family also developed similar symptoms around their genital areas and went for treatment at the hospital, where they were diagnosed with human papillomavirus (HPV).

A dermatologist said the Lee family had likely contracted the virus at the hotel through the bathtub and the bed sheet, which might have had traces of the bodily fluids of an infected person.

The virus can take from three weeks to eight months to develop and is hard to get rid of with general detergents or chemical steriliser.

This is not possible, if it were, the dermatologist should publish his diagnosis on lancet and win international awards. Genital warts is a venereal or sexually transmitted disease. Its almost impossible to get it any other way. There are many types of HPV that cause warts, but the variety that causes genital warts is specific to the sexual intercourse or in some cases oral intercourse. In the US, many pediatrist are required to notify the police if they see a child with genital warts, because there is a high likelihood the child was sexually abused.

In this case, probably the whole family when to Shanghai and had a big Incest fuckfest in the hotel room, than blamed it on the hotel. U know, the usual stuff............mother fuck son, father fuck daughter, grandfather fuck grandkids etc. SOme time during the incest orgy, some drunk relative probably did the little boy, hence everyone got genital warts.

A Chinese family's trip to Shanghai turned sour after they discovered they had all been infected with a sexually transmitted disease at a high-end hotel.

A man surnamed Li, his wife, three-year-old son, sister and parents went to Shanghai for a family trip in early June. To ensure a pleasant stay, Li booked a luxury suite at an expensive hotel in the city.

"The bathtub was white and clean and the bedsheets also smelt nice," he said. All adults and the child enjoyed their baths, according to Fjsen, a Chinese-language news website based in Fujian province.

Three weeks passed by when Li's son starting to complain about pain in his penis and his father found it covered in small warts. Li and the rest of the family members later also developed similar symptoms and went to hospital for treatment, Fjsen's report continued.

Their doctor said they had contracted HPV or genital warts, a sexually transmitted infection that spreads by skin contact with an infected person.

The virus can take three weeks to eight months to develop. The family very likely contracted the disease during their stay at the Shanghai hotel, said a director of the dermatologist unit in Zhangzhou, Fujian province.

the answer:" You can get HPV from having contact with the warts themselves. I suppose it all boils down to what you consider "sex?" If lying next to each other or rubbing against each other with little or no clothes is considered sex - then yes.
In men, warts can appear on the penis, scrotum, rectum and surrounding areas.
In women, warts can appear on the inside and out side of the vagina, the rectum and surrounding areas, and also on the cervix.
You CANNOT get warts from wiping with leaves, sleeping in a hotel with no underwear, using recycled toilet paper or using a toilet (regardless of how dirty it is.) (HPV does not survive on sheets, clothing, etc.) "
