his brother played too i think....but he may have won some doubles by partnering ramesh krishnan. Too long already cant remember all that well.

All i recall about ramesh was that he was a little chubby but a very good stroke player ...like the Czech Mecir in the 80s.

I'm sure he has the info in his computer or something, but you can see that when he's on tv commentating, he's rattling off from memory and not reading from a tele-prompter.
This is a sign of someone who is really passionate about his sport and takes his role really seriously.

Not sure about the brother, but he just said on tv that he has never won a grand slam tournament.

big fan of Federer; perhaps the onLy pLayer in the circuit stiLL using the traditionaL singLe handed backstrokes..

The grass courts used to favour the serve/volley playerslike becker....edberg...sampras. The only guy who won consistently from the baseline in the 70s

and 80s was bjorn borg. Later when the racket technology improved then they baseliners started winning wimbledon...eg Agassi.

Federer is a stroke master. It will be long after he retires before many realise how good he was.
I don't like watching pure serve and volley either, that's one of the main reasons why I prefer women's tennis to men's tennis.
Another reason is of course the chiobus.

Btw, Chris Evert and Jimmy Connors were once engaged. But never got married.
She married John Lloyd who is now a Wimbledon commentator.
She was also recently married to golfer Greg Norman, the great white shark, but think now also divorced.
