SINGAPORE: Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will be on leave from June 19 to 22.

During his absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean will be the Acting Prime Minister.

SINGAPORE: President Tony Tan Keng Yam will be making a private overseas visit from 17 to 20 June.

The President's Office said on Saturday that during Dr Tan's absence, chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers, Mr J Y Pillay, will be Acting President.

Two days ago, i was already wondering, wow we got a Acting President, how come i didn't know. Tony Tan is going which country? How come the visit has been downgraded to private. As President of Singapore, is there ever a private visit? Unless he is not welcome and the host country do not want to give him a President welcome.

Even when PM goes overseas for work, he is declared to be "on leave" so that an Acting PM is appointed. Same for all the full Ministers.
