Man hangs himself on his wedding day

A 38-year-old man was found hanged from a tree on the day that he was supposed to get married, Tamil Nesan reported.

T. Saravanan from Taman Botani in Ipoh was discovered in Lubok Temong, a recreational area on the way to Cameron Highlands, at around 8.15am on Thursday.

Passers-by who spotted Saravanan alerted the police.

Family members said the marriage was to have taken place on Thursday.

They were puzzled as to why Saravanan took his own life.
