the most important reason for overhaul is lubrication by the way do you know if you do not wear it for long time ..the watch will have problem ? if left unwound for long periods, internal lubricants can be lost from critical areas which will eventually lead to excessive wear on components and subsequent lack of accuracy.

I think part of overhaul also replacing the jewels. Do you have an auto watch winder? Do you have GS? What do you think about GS vs same price swiss made watch like panerai?

no i dont have gs ...yes i have an auto watch winder . i personally dont think GS worth it price ..my panerai price keep increasing for the last few years ...dont know about gs . if gs is those limited edition or vintage the price might go up but not that much . frank muller is a watch that when the moment you buy you already lose money ...i made my mistake last time thinking that the price of frank muller will increase ..

I wear it all the time and send if for servicing when it starts to run slow or starts to rattle. The weakest part of the watch is the screw thread of the winding crown. It wears out after a few years. It also needed a new face when the digits and the hands no longer glowed in the dark.​

rolex-oyster-perpetual ? do you have the ref number ? ok you wear it all the time so you dont need a auto watch winder . dont try to change or molify original part if possible ...because it will affect the value of your watch .

I have not modified anything. Original parts only. I don't have any reference number.

do you have screwdriver ? i believe you dont have the papers and box because already so long . the next time when you send for overhaul ..try asking your horologist .

when i first brought it and wear it to singapore ...all my friend thought i siao ...wear so big watch . now then they start going crazy over big watch ...singapore fashion is too slow .
