A former senior Staff Sergeant Lim Yew Chuan (林耀全) has been jailed for two weeks under the Police Act for two counts of abuse of power.
Lim was put in charge of a case involving a 29 year old PRC student Jiang Qing Feng (蒋青凤) and three other Vietnamese students who were arrested in a raid at a KTV lounge in 2009.
He was ordered by his superiors to give four of them a stern warning and deport them from Singapore. However, Lim only sent back the three Vietnamese girls and allowed Jiang to remain in Singapore on a student visa.
It turned out that Jiang had managed to seduce Lim and he subsequently had sex with her eight times at various hotels in Singapore.
The 32 year old Lim is married and his wife just delivered a week ago.
