He forgot to say if the locum is local or foreign.
Can anyone enlighten me if doctors from LOCUM qualified to be doctors?
My god-father was having a stomach ache so I brought him to neighbourhood clinic, which he used to consult. The regular doctor was away for an overseas seminar or something. A locum doctor attended to him.
On learning he was recently discharged from TTSH, the locum doctor said he would not take any responsibility since my god-dad was just discharged; even though I brought along his medicine and discharge sheet. Anyway, he left the hospital about a month ago.
Can MOH and the SMC (which I understand is good for nothing) clarify this situation? If locum doctors are not approved doctors, then how can they take over the position of a real doctor? Is there real and not real doctors in Singapore? How can one distinguish them?
Or should I say can-take-responsibility & can't or don't-want-to-take responsibility doctors?
I wish to know why he is unqualified to take on responsibility? He should be nullified before he terminates others. It must be a real shame for him to hang on to the "decree". To him, it must be pride,
So who & what are these people who are in the locum community?
First, we have the nursing home prescribing/returning incorrect medicine. Next, we have another WTF Service. Next will be NMF Catastrophe!
My god-dad might just have died for the locum's refusal to administer medical service. F him
