SINGAPORE : The Sikh community in Singapore celebrated their heritage during Vesakhi, which is also regarded as their new year.

The activities at the Singapore Khalsa Association included a traditional game of Kabbadi.

There were also other sports and traditional dances.

The Singapore Khalsa Association said the event has shifted from one that's just for the Sikhs, to one that involves all groups in the community.

The change is reflected in this year's theme - "Forging An Inclusive Community". - CNA /ls
