he should be
what is the point of going to church on sunday morn/affternoon
and amen, alleluyah, praise the lord..

and then comes sunday night, he suddenly becomes the devil himself

this means that Jesus christ cannot really wash away his sins
it din help him at all

the temptation was too great for him

I wonder how many so called 'christians ' who attend the CHC church attend church it becos
they tot Jesus could help them manage their 'guilt', those things that they secretly do that they consider shamful
the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak

Going to church every Sunday (or even everyday) does make one a believer of Christ. The very sad news is that many Christians think that just because they have acknowledged that they believe Jesus is the Son of God, born to a virgin, died on the cross and raised after three days, and they have gone to water baptism, they are totally saved and will be reconciled to God when they died no matter what they do now. This is a deception. Once saved always saved is a real deception! We have to repent all the time until the very last days. Take heed what Jesus has said in the Gospel of St. Matthew 7:22-23 that during the last days, many will say to Him, Lord, Lord, we have prophesied in Your name; in Your name we have cast out devils; and in Your name we have done many wonderful works. But Jesus will tell them, "I never knew you; go away from me; you evil doers.

Today, there are too many actors or hypocrites (and perhaps I am one of them) and Jesus just hates hypocrites. Just go to the chapter 23 of the Gospel of St. Matthews which I call this a 'woe' chapter of the Bible and you will read alot on this. God equates hypocrites to vipers! In particular, He addressed His displeasure to the scribes and the Pharisees (who, in today's equivalent are church pastors, elders and deacons). To Jesus, many of these were great hypocrites! They seldom practise what they teach; they take advantage of helpless women and children; they like big titles; they covet positions and want to sit at the seat of high honour; their outward appearance of holiness is the exact opposite of the inner self of self-centeredness, uncleanliness, greed and wickedness.

So, whatever is happening to some of the so-called 'Christians' who may cry out in front of TV screens, making public confession, etc to seek 'forgiveness from man', they will need to give an account to God. In fact, they don't need to account to us, and we too have no right to make any demand from them because the only person that deserves to demand forgiveness is the injured person, and of course God. But more importantly (and I would like to address to only born-again Christians), let us seek Him and repent always and not to become hypocrites or vipers ourselves.

There is only one Court of Justice in Heaven and Jesus is the Judge. Once He has delivered the judgment, there will be no appeal - it's final!

God Bless

Why should Jack Neo be cast out of CHC? On what basis?

Adultery? - he repented.

Victims? - who? Just because a woman says she is a victim, she must be a victim? The points are uncertain:

(1) did Jack demolish a person's career just because she did not submit to his advances. And ensuring that she can never work in the industry again?

or

(2) did Jack offer a fast track elevator ride to a select few. If they refused, they are denied the fast track but can still remain on the normal track as anyone else in his company. Certainly they can remain in the industry.

The use of sex as a lure is certainly not right. However in the second case, the use of the word 'victim' is also not right. There is no victim - both are making use of each other. The woman was offered a chance to go on the fast track if she prostituted herself to him. He has a need, she has the goods. She has a need, he has the goods. Effectively this becomes a private transaction, where sex changes hands for fame.

Finally it must be noted that all the cases surfaced so far are more than 2 years back, before Jack became a Christian. Thus City Harvest Church has been a vehicle of blessing to Jack. Jack after coming to know the Lord Christ has turned from his immoral ways. Jack has repented of his adultery. His road is now straightened and life will be better for him and his family.

In fact, all three gained from this episode. Jack has a wonderful wife. Irene has a better Jack. Wendy can restart her life as continuing an affair with a married man will not do her any good in the long run.

A bonus: the employees in his company will gain from having a christian boss who came out of the gutter. If it is possible, Jack should continue to employ Wendy and help her to establish her career for one more film and then let her go to another company to build upon her success.
