Austria's health ministry says traces of cocaine have been found in samples of Red Bull Cola energy drinks.

Spokeswoman Sigrid Rosenberger says the traces are very slight and do not pose a health risk.

Earlier this month, several German states told retailers to stop selling Red Bull after a sample test by authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia state found 0.4 micrograms per litre in the drink.

Rosenberger said overnight the Austrian findings hovered around the detection limit.

Red Bull has said its cola is "harmless and marketable in both the US and Europe."

含微量古柯鹼 衛署:紅牛能量飲料全面下架

（中央社記者黃慧敏台北30日電）衛生署今天表示，衛生署主動抽驗奧地利進口的紅牛能量飲料，結果檢出微量 古柯鹼0.030 ppb（千億分之3)，已要求廠商全面下架回收。

衛生署表示，衛生署根據國際食品安全訊息，主動抽驗紅牛能量飲料，發現有微量古柯鹼後，立刻通知進口商所在 的台北市政府衛生局依法處辦，衛生局並商請檢調單位協助查緝。

除了衛生署責成台北市衛生局督促進口商全面下架回收涉案產品，檢調單位也已配合陸續查扣涉案產 品。

衛生署表示，所檢出的古柯鹼雖然含量極低，不致於對人體健康造成危害，但依法食品中不得含有禁 藥。

衛生署呼籲，消費者如自國外攜帶或網路購得這些產品，應避免食用。980530

Amman - The Jordan Food and Drug Administration has banned the import of the energy drink Red Bull Cola and ordered its local agent to withdraw the product from the market, JFDA Director General Mohammad Rawashdeh was quoted as saying Friday. The decision was made following findings in Germany that the drink contains a trace amount of cocaine, he told the Jordan Times.

"Whenever we receive reports from any country regarding the withdrawal of a product from the market and we have it in Jordan, we do the same until we conduct the required tests," Rawashdeh said.

Last week, six German states reportedly notified retailers to stop selling Red Bull Cola energy drinks, which is manufactured in Austria, after a test found a trace amount of cocaine in the product.

"The ban started last Friday after a sample test conducted by the authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia state found 0.4 microgrammes per litre in the drink," the report said.

調查局偵破「紅牛能量飲料」含有古柯鹼的成分，查扣一萬七千多箱 ，市價達兩千五百萬，檢方已經要求廠商將產品全面下架。

奧地利紅牛公司的「紅牛可樂」含有毒品古柯鹼成分的消息傳出，衛生署管制藥品管理局也同步注意；因為紅牛公司是國際知名飲料公司，向世界各國出口販售各種可樂、運動飲料等產品，台灣也是銷售國家之一，進口商是「南聯國際貿易公司」，衛生署管制藥品管理局採樣在台銷售紅牛能量飲料進行化驗，結果證實飲料的確含有古柯鹼成分，濃度為0.030μg/L。「每立方公尺零點零三微克」。

台北市調查處派員到坊間訪查，發現國內多處大型知名賣場都公開陳列販售該品牌飲料，前往「南聯國際貿易股份有限公司」位在桃園、高雄倉庫，查扣紅牛能量飲料共計一萬七千多箱，市價兩千五百多萬。

紅牛能量飲料早在民國九十四年即在台銷售，強調提神飲料可以改善集中力及加快反應、強化警覺、改善情緒狀態並促進新陳代謝；但由於售價高，一罐賣五十到六十五元因而市佔率不高。
