"Today's ST oped carries a piece on sharing public space. NParks and Police are also considering measures to deconflict overlapping use of Speakers Corner. They remind me of Aesop's fable of two goats which locked horns while crossing to the other side of a chasm on a narrow tree trunk. Both refused to give way and fell to the roaring torrent below. Aesop's moral: better to yield than to come to misfortune through stubbornness. My take? Be gracious and don't behave like a goat when using public space." --- Emeritus SM Goh CT
