I hope Singapore buys the Iron Dome from Israel. We both need it given that we are surrounded by hostile countries on all sides. Preferably, I would like Singapore to own nukes too. We will take the entire region down with us if necessary.

1. The Iron Dome reaction time is dependent on proximity of hostile launch sites, If it is in nearby Johore or Batam or even from an SAMPAN just oiutside Singapore waters, the debris from a successful intercept itself falling on a densely populated area can still result in a many casualties with head injuries.

2. The cost of a cheap Qassam rocket is around US$500, an IRON DOME intercept missile costs $50,000. It is cheaper to attack than to defend. A volley of several thousand rockets fired from different locations may overwhelm the IRON DOME intercept capability.

I also think so...The most dangerous place is the safest place..in BATAM ...to take cover.

One look your suggestion on the protection money sound ridiculous, but with some twitching and management would certainly much more effective and more economically attractive.

There will be synergy and countless benefits that comes along....resources focus on the internal security will be more effective, relevant and build up the country.

If chemical or bio warhead jialat....hit on spot and just let the wind do the rest....don't need powerful or heavy warhead.

Maybe just need to shoot high enough in the general direction and let it glide the rest of the way down through the path of the trajectory.

The threat is real. Maybe got to prepare emergency bag and stuff....

Something about 100kg in weight and can fit the back of pickup truck with 5 rounds, can reach SG from Batam.

But that won't have a very big payload by that weight. 10~15kg only.

To have powerful warhead, the total weight need to double to 200kg. Size can still be carried by pickup truck but protruding a lot over the top. Can pack 40kg warhead.

Can use drone plane components to make the navigation controller part. Solid fuel is fine.

These are too small for Batam to SG51. But very simple and effective.

Gosh..range 1.5km to 2 km...can be easily fired from a tug-boat...better tell the Hen guy to put more patrol on our coastline...
