Maid falls 13 floors to death while taking in laundry

An Indonesian maid fell 13 floors to her death while trying to bring in the laundry at the kitchen window, a coroner's court heard on Thursday.
Suryatiningsih, 28, was four days into her job as a replacement maid on July 23 when she fell from Block 47 Jalan Tiga.
At an inquiry into her death, the court heard that the she had worked in Singapore from 2006 to 2010 before returning to Indonesia. She came back to work for her first employer from May to July this year before asking to be transferred.
Investigation showed that at about 5.50pm that day, a resident heard a loud noise and saw Suryatiningsih lying on the ground with broken bamboo poles and clothing items lying around her.
