One of them is Pasir Ris Park, which is rumoured to be a hotspot for paranormal activities.
On 6 Jun, a lady shared on Facebook that she went on a night run at the park and heard a voice calling her.

She even spotted an eerie white figure sitting on a bench in the dark.

Hears voice calling her​

On 6 Jun, a lady was out for her usual solo night run when she decided to try a different route, running towards the end of Pasir Ris Park.
Although the path was pitch black with forested areas on either side, she did not think much of it.

As she headed back, the lady, who was wearing her earpiece at the time, heard a faint voice calling her from behind.
She removed her earphones and her suspicions were confirmed when she still heard the voice.
Frightened, she recited a prayer as she headed home.

Eerie figure spotted on Pasir Ris Park bench​

The plot thickens when somewhere along her run, she also spotted a figure sitting on a bench alone in the darkness as she was near the former Aloha Loyang area.
She snapped a photo of the figure.

Some netizens also pointed out that the figure appeared to not have legs, though it could possibly be because her legs were crossed.
The lady also shared another close-up shot of the background, where a human silhouette could be made out.

Pasir Ris Park said to be haunted​

Following her encounter, she found out that there are areas in Pasir Ris Park that are said to be haunted.

According to TimeOut, the park is reportedly famous for the iconic female ghost, the pontianak.
Legend has it that several pontianaks haunt the area, especially where the greenery is thick.
But since the OP just moved to Pasir Ris, she was initially unfamiliar with the area.
She laughingly said that after this encounter, it will be her first and last time heading there at night.

Avoid going to parks alone at night for safety​

Singapore has quite a few locations with a grisly past where people have experienced or seen strange things.
While thrill-seekers might actively seek these places out, for many of us, we might want to steer clear of these places, especially late at night.

Cyclist Sees Ghostly Figure Along Upper Thomson Road Towards Yishun​

With the closure of sports facilities during Phase 2 Heightened Alert, cycling has once again seen a surge in popularity.

Unlike indoor activities, riders get to explore Singapore and enjoy the scenic views that our island has to offer. However, there are some things that are better left unseen, especially at night.

On Wednesday (9 Jun), a cyclist shared about his encounter with a ghostly figure while cycling along Upper Thomson Road towards Yishun.

Turns out, another driver also witnessed the ominous sighting and escorted him to safety.

Cyclist allegedly sees ghostly figure behind bus stop​

In a post on the Singapore Cycling Community Facebook group, Mr Hairyzal recounted his recent night ride.

The cyclist was apparently travelling home along Upper Thomson Road when he saw a spooky white figure standing behind a bus stop on the other side of the road.
Though he allegedly wasn’t scared at first, a driver soon honked to get his attention and asked if he was okay.
The driver had apparently seen the white figure as well and offered to escort Mr Hairyzal.
The cyclist took on the offer, and the driver proceeded to drive slowly behind him with his hazard lights on.
On Wednesday (9 Jun), Mr Hairyzal took to Facebook to thank the driver, noting that the motorist had mentioned joining a bicycle group on the social media platform.

Netizens joke that cyclist should’ve been wary of driver instead​

Though we’re heartened by the driver’s actions, netizens also pointed out several other spooky details about the man’s tale.

One Facebook user seemed to have spotted a suspicious sillouhette behind one of the lampposts in the OP’s picture.
