I do not deny that Chee was foolish and a half-twit in the past. Can even say he was attention-seeking.
I do not disagree with this that Chee has brought it to himself. But knowing our local media, one small blunder by Chee gets exaggerated as a fracas.
chee soon juan is the the pain in the ass for the entire singapore. until he brings sgp down and ruin it, he shall not rest. and all becos of his deserved grievance of being sacked from NUS for petty theft which he exploited it that he was politically targeted becos he join SDP. now take a good hard look at SDP after chiam see tong. what have chee accomplished so far? The decline of SDP started after Chee and Ling took over. From three seats in parliament, they lost two and I need to explain the last one. The opposition could have grown stronger and might have even won more seats in 1997, if not for Chee and co to kick out an effective leader that managed to win 3 seats without the help of the 'new media'. Chiam was even considered the de facto leader of the opposition in 1991. SDP has successfully 'evolved' from a party with quality to a national joke.
Don't blame Ling he couldn't do anything at all with Chee in charge.
I do not deny that. But if he and Cheo had not conspired to turn against Chiam, the SDP might have even won a GRC right now. Fate sure can be cruel.
possibly that chee is indeed a pap's mole. that's why now he's scheming to join up with other parties. once he's inside, he would mess it up and boot out the chiefy there, takes over the party and then ruin it into another SDP.

Alec Toc and Teo Soh Lung did not do well because they wasted their time in RP and joined SDP too late.
Had they joined SDP or NSP earlier and started their groundwork, they would have done better.
Alec wasted all his time courting Radin Mas. Then jump ship to Bukit Panjang. How well do residents know him? It was a rushed job, and he should know that. Yaw Shin Leong voted for him though.

Truth is, Teo Soh Lung lost because she is a lousy candidate. She is the 2nd worst candidate, the worst being NSP's ITE warehouseman.
