I told this story before.
Mid 1980s, NTU auditorium, career day.

Seated on a chair on the left of the stage is an unidentified male. Varsity staff walks up to podium microphone and annouces that Ms Ho Ching from DSTO will be giving a career talk.

Everyone immediately look to the open door to the right of stage waiting for Ms Ho (who was not known then )

The guy who was seated walks up to the mike and starts to talk. The PA system reverberates with the voice of a female. The whole auditorium looks left, right and back trying to see who is talking.

Then the penny dropped, the guy at the mike is a girl in slacks and she is Ho Ching.

Naturally this story made the rounds when she got hitched to LHL.

Personally, table tennis player Gu, 'cos she won a silver olympics medal whereas Ho Chin has been making unwise investment & losing money.
