Who are behind the smear -campaign against WP Daniel ? WP and all Must read !

Many people are talking about this smear, we piece for your read:-----

We see dirty politics everywhere in the world right.

But in Sinkapore, the gutter politics is dirtier than the soaked underpants right!

Those behind the smear campaign at WP Daniel are really scums. If you really have solid evidence, show your face and prove it ! We call spade a spade .

Many people are saying the internet has exposed one obese man (named Ah Han),working in NUS library together with the SPH people ; they made up the story against WP Daniel Goh.
Overheard there is a foto of Ah Han. The threads are all deleted as people say….

You know, this kind of evil deed can destroy family and life quality, why these people are doing it after the candidate announcement when WP Daniel Goh has been a WP Member for quite sometime right?
We hope WP takes this issue to the stage and perhaps file a suit with rigor against these scums, be they the press or the librarian if there is a libel !

Another thing, MP GRC anchor man (then TCC now GCT) is too arrogant, and “chesty as a peacock”.
WP will win a good percentage at MP GRC but may not tip the votes because the old eunuch factor is still hovering over MP GRC.
WP needs a small whip to just tip the small percentage of votes and win !

Recent news understand Nicole Seah is already a WP volunteer and will be helping at MP GRC and Macpherson this GE. This lady comes in handy to WP working with WP Miss He.

Personal issue aside, if WP allows, let this Nicole Seah stands stage this GE at MP GRC for 10 minutes as a member speaker to lit the firework once more.

We hope this idea from the ground is useful to WP for contesting MP GRC and Macpherson. It is not easy take down GCT, but miracle does happen !

We know WP does not need Nicole seah to win MP GRC but if Nicole seah can hasten the victory and bring joy to Sinkaporeans , we say---why not ?
There is no face or nothing to lose because we support Workers Party, period.

Give Nicole some air time during the rallies. Nicole is a good orator and can get votes for WP.

After this smear, all of us feel sad for WP Daniel Goh.
Is like hitting below the belt, if this is real smear , why is PAP doing this? This is just horrendous ! Unbelievable !

Heard Mr Goh already has reported to police, but PAP police investigate this shitty smear ?

Your suggestion for Nicole seah to whip the old fart sounds logical if WP stands to win.

Relationship is a very personal issue whether you are single or married.

Evidence is one thing we talk about if they want to smear but why choose a time like that?

If they talk about it without solid evidence, PAP will lose votes this time, lots of them.

Clearly, a gutter politics.

A libel suit would be good after the election if accusation is false. An object lesson for those who work behind the curtains.

GE2015: A poison pen letter against WP’s Daniel Goh, but the media looks the worst

Politics is a dirty business, elections even more so. It’s hardly surprising that a poison pen about a candidate was sent to the press; whether it’s to make an opponent look bad or stoke up more public sympathy and support, there is no shortage of people with agendas when the stakes are high.

What’s more disappointing, though, is the way the mainstream media took the bait when they received allegations that Workers’ Party candidate Dr Daniel Goh had had an affair with a former student. The letter, sent to newsrooms as well as the Workers’ Party, was signed off by a “Max Chan” and also alleged that the former student’s boyfriend had found out about the affair.

The media ran the story. It was, in my opinion, a shockingly bad editorial decision. Dr Goh’s refutation of the allegations was of course included, but the story should never have run in the first place.

Firstly, there are many unanswered questions related to the identity of the letter-writer: who is he? Is Max Chan his real name? How is he connected to either Dr Goh or the female student? How did he come to know about this alleged affair? What is his motivation for writing the letter? What is his motivation for writing the letter now, when Dr Goh has openly been a member of the Workers’ Party for quite some time?

Then there’s the question of evidence. The letter-writer had apparently claimed that the student’s boyfriend had found out about the affair through their phone messages, but failed to provide a copy of these messages to substantiate his allegations. In fact, there was no evidence provided at all.

So all the media had was a letter of dubious providence, and a denial from the subject of the allegations. They had no evidence to catch the candidate out on a lie. There should therefore have been no story. And yet it ran.

I find it hard to believe that the mainstream press has no mechanism to deal with such situations. Tips, letters and comment must stream into newsrooms all the time; even as an independent journalist I get people writing to me with rumours, allegations, theories and commentary. It’s not a new practice for journalists and editors to weed out the good tips from the bad, so why did the mainstream media get it so wrong?

This bizarre decision has naturally prompted questions. Why did the mainstream press decide to run the story with such little evidence? Is this standard practice for local newsrooms? If not, why Dr Goh and why now? Would the media have done the same to any other candidate, even a PAP one?

There’s been a boom in alternative media sites since the last election, but the mainstream media still dominates in terms of newsgathering power and readership. For Singaporeans with no ability or desire to get online, traditional media is the only source of information. So while candidates are being reminded by the Elections Department to steer clear of negative campaigning and conduct a clean campaign, the mainstream media too should be reminded to stay out of the gutter.

The student involved told the Straits Times yesterday and I quote "Dr Daniel Goh was a supervisor for my thesis at NUS. He also gave me advice on postgraduate studies. The relationship was a professional one" Whoever this "Max Chan" is I hope the police will get to the bottom of it

This allegation happened in 2008 and "Max Chan" claimed that the boyfriend found out from her phone messages. Now there is no way "Max Chan" can lay hand on the student mobile phone with messages dated back to 2008. Even her boyfriend do not have access to her phone. I am very sure the reporter... More

The Straits Times should have verified all the evidence from "Max Chan" , the student boyfriend and the student herself before publishing such allegations against Dr Daniel Goh a Worker Party candidate for the coming GE. had an affair. In fact there was no evidence to substantiate such allegations.... More

It makes the govt controlled media and therefore the govt looks bad-and will cost them votes.
The fishy part is about the alleged boyfriend finding out -what relevance does it have?.

Even the husband cannot say anything about the relationship of the wife that happens before they met each other-not to talk about boyfriend.
