Yes...we have more older people on this island than our neighbour up North.
Our mean age is 33.8 year vs 27.7 for Malaysia....all because we are not reproducing ourselves more due to many stressful reasons..
1. high cost of bringing up kids.
2. Lack of room space..our pigeon hole getting smaller by the years
3. Stressful work life and long hours.
4. prefer to remain single and not be stress by high cost of marriage preparation and paying through the nose for your matrimonial home.
Overtime, i see the above mean age stretching further...as our Malay neigbours enjoy their lifestyle and are more relax and have more time to make babies.
Overtime, Malaysia will have more able-bodied man and we will have more cardboard uncles on the street.
