MediaCorp launches new loyalty initiative for consumers

SINGAPORE: Fancy an exclusive lunch date with your favourite celebrities? Or getting complimentary tickets to concerts? Well, you can enjoy such privileges by being a member of MEclub - the first loyalty initiative launched by MediaCorp.

ME is a new loyalty initiative that rewards consumers for enjoying MediaCorp's news and entertainment.

Membership is free. Simply sign up at the MEclub website,
MEclub.com.sg or download the MEclub app onto a smartphone. Once done, MEclub members are ready to earn and accumulate Star points to redeem exclusive privileges.

For example, a free concert ticket may require 500 Star points, so MEclub members will need to have enough points in their account to get hold of the freebie.

MediaCorp's Head of Strategic Marketing, Patrick Yong, said: "There's a whole range of items to redeem with their Star Points that they earn. It could be a lunch with the stars, it will also include concert tickets and even premiums such as autographs and posters by the artiste."

There are several ways to chalk up the Star Points. One way is to spot and scan the Quick Response (QR) codes when enjoying MediaCorp TV shows or print media. QR codes can also be found on MediaCorp's websites, bus stop advertisements and outdoor screens.

Another is to listen out for passcodes on MediaCorp's radio stations (and other platforms) and key them into the MEclub website or app. One can also earn Star Points by taking part in online surveys and polls on the MEclub website.

Mr Yong said: "It is a way of recognising our loyal readers, viewers and listeners by providing them with exclusive premiums and privileges, to thank them for their support, in a way. This also creates a new engagement point for us to reach out to them, to be able to connect with them and get feedback."

Those who sign up before August 31 will be given a head start of 150 Star Points.
