According to sources, Vietnam's government support & moblilised 13th May rioting and looting. Most of the looters were youngsters or teenagers in motorbikes and bicycles. And the Vietnam's government had allowed the loot-fiesta to go freely for 3 days until the weekends.

Things started to escalate to the current state when Vietnam's foreign affair officials failed to gain support against China in the Asean meeting in Myanmar.
However, most of the badly hit investors in the rioting and looting were Taiwanese, Singaporeans, Japanese and South Koreans. The top four investors in Vietnam are Japanese, Singaporean, South Korean and Taiwanese.
